I completed an intensive 3 year diploma of massage therapy in 2001 followed by a post graduate sports massage therapy certificate and is currently attending an Osteopathic College. Since my inception into the realm of health and wellness I have acquired an extensive knowledge of the human body through my various experiences with elite athletes, amateur athletes, seniors, terminally ill patients (cancer, AIDS, MS) and infants. Although I am sympathetic to the needs of all types of individuals, the challenges elite athletes’ face in achieving excellence has excited me the most. Working with professional rugby, squash and baseball players has been the highlight of my career . This season I’ve made a decision to expand my corporate and on-site massage therapy business since it’s inception in 2002. Prior to 2003 I was a full time massage therapist at the Mayfair Racquet & Fitness club on Lakeshore and worked part time until recently.
I typically employ deep tissue techniques during the treatment, however I am capable of many other types of massage. Swedish Massage, is the general term used to describe my massage techniques. This entails trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage, sports massage, deep tissue massage, joint mobilizations and remedial exercise. I commonly use all of the above techniques during a single session or over the course of a treatment plan.
